CHKD's "Children's Marathon" |
|
The Children's Marathon is a 26-mile training program that begins prior to the RunWalk for the Kids event. Children can complete a log sheet to record the first 25 "miles" of their marathon. Each time a child exercises for 30 minutes, it counts as one "mile" of their marathon. The final 26th mile will be the 1-mile Fun Run & Wheelchair Race held during the RunWalk for the kids event.
All children who participate at the event in the 1 mile Fun Run & Wheelchair Race are presented with a finisher medal. Every child who pre-registers for the children's marathon prior to May 18, 2012 and presents their completed marathon log on race day will receive a special award.
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE CHILDREN'S MARATHON.
